Axar Rajeshbhai Patel (born 20 January 1994) is an Indian international cricketer who plays as a bowling All-rounder for the Indian cricket team in all formats of the game. In addition, Axar Patel represents Gujarat in domestic cricket and the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. On January 20, 1994, Axar Patel was born in Nadiad, Gujarat. He was conceived by his parents, Rajesh Patel and Pritiben Patel. Sanship Patel is the name of his older sibling. Axar has had a deep love for cricket since he was a young boy. Nevertheless, he never considered making a career out of it. He desired a career in mechanical engineering. His friend convinced him to join the school’s cricket team because they were short of players.

Axar Patel was born in Gujarat on January 20, 1994. His full name was Akshar Rajeshbhai Patel. His principal, however, misspelled his name as ‘Axar’ on his school leaving certificate. When Axar was selected for the Bangladesh tour, he was given a passport and was addressed by his official school name. This is how the name ‘Akshar’ became ‘Axar’.
Axar Patel, an all-rounder, had a spectacular maiden Test against England in early 2021, becoming the sixth Indian spinner to record a five-for on debut. Years of practice had finally paid off for Axar, who received the navy blue cap from Virat Kohli.
